- Customer content: Documents, images, video, audio, text, metadata and other content you submit or process through our Services. Processing takes place locally or online depending on the service, as explained below.
Processing by service
- Findcub: Local file analysis, queries and vector computation run on your Mac. The local index is encrypted, with its key stored in macOS Keychain. Sign-in, model downloads and optional cloud-source connections use network services.
- ShotAI: In the local-source desktop workflow, original video files stay on your device. Selected keyframes and, when supported, audio are sent to online model services and deleted after processing completes. Returned vectors and shot metadata are stored locally.
- Model API: Inputs submitted for inference are processed to provide the requested service and deleted after processing completes. Your application can store the returned embeddings and metadata.
- OmniSpectra Edge: Model inference runs on your own device. Account services, downloads and any application integrations are separate from local inference.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- Process your transactions and manage your account
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and service-related notices
- Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Comply with legal obligations
Customer Content & Data Processing
You retain full ownership of the content you submit and all outputs generated from your content, including tags, embeddings, indexes and metadata. Seeknetic does not claim ownership over customer content or derived outputs. You grant Seeknetic a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
Data Usage & Model Training
By default, customer content is not used to train Seeknetic's foundation or general-purpose models. Aggregated, anonymized system-level metrics may be used to improve service reliability and performance. Any use of customer content for model improvement requires your explicit opt-in agreement.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist in operating our Services, subject to confidentiality obligations
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law
- Third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. The local and online processing boundaries for each service are described above.
Infrastructure & Cross-Border Data Transfer
Our Services are built on a distributed infrastructure designed for performance, reliability, and compliance:
- Online model processing: Inputs required for the requested function may be processed on globally distributed GPU infrastructure provided by third-party cloud partners. The processing location depends on provider routing and availability.
- Control and routing layer: Service orchestration, the API gateway and account management are hosted in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.
- Agent services: Advanced Agent capabilities powered by large language models may be processed on infrastructure located in mainland China or the United States, depending on service routing and availability.
- Cross-border safeguards: When data is processed across jurisdictions, we apply encryption in transit, contractual protections with infrastructure providers and data minimization. Retention of model inputs follows the service-specific processing rules above.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Deletion of inference inputs is separate from retention of account information. Locally stored files, embeddings and indexes are managed through the application or your own storage.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
